Our annual meeting this year was
held at the site of “Old Fort
Douglas”, East of the University of
Utah and just South of the
University of Utah medical center.
These buildings have been
beautifully renovated and are set in
such a historical, serene and plush
setting.
The general session, organized and
sponsored by AARP-Utah was held in
the Officer’s Quarters. The theme
for the annual meeting was, “Staying
in Balance in Today’s Unsettled
World”. Robert Kirby, an esteemed
columnist for the Salt Lake Tribune,
and Pamela Atkinson, a noted Utah
civic leader, and champion
spokesperson for the homeless, and
low income families were the keynote
speakers for the morning session.
URSEA met for the annual meeting in
the historic Chapel next door to the
Officer’s quarters. Our meeting was
filled with activities that
delighted everyone. We followed the
theme of “Staying in Balance” with
our keynote speaker, Kirk Jowers,
Director of the Hinckley Institute
of Politics.
We would like to thank everyone for
attending and we look forward to
seeing you at next year's meeting!
